On July 11, FIU’s Parking and Transportation announced that Parking Garage 6 will be partially closed due to ongoing maintenance until Aug 21.
Certain areas of the garage will be undergoing maintenance through August.
PantherNOW reached out several times to Parking and Transportation but did not get an answer from any supervisors with further details on which areas will be affected and when.
According to one Parking and Transportation employee, PG6 will be back to use on Aug 2 instead of Aug 21 if maintenance is completed without any setbacks. If not, it may be delayed until the beginning of the fall semester.
Until then, faculty and students are being asked to park in other places while PG6 undergoes maintenance.
